We are looking for an attorney with 2 - 10 years of civil litigation experience to join our team. Familiarity with business disputes (contracts, trade secrets, fiduciary duty claims, partnerships, etc.), product liability, finance/banking, and/or construction disputes preferred. Prior experience handling high-exposure insurance defense matters involving directors, officers, professional liability, and/or product liability is also welcome. Preferred candidates should have prior experience handling oral argument, depositions, and trials at the state and/or federal level. Strong writing skills are required. Candidates must have an active Texas law license.
Our associate attorneys enjoy hands-on experience. We typically staff our cases lean (one partner, one associate, one paralegal) and then utilize team assistance in the event of large-scale projects requiring more hands on deck (e.g., high-volume document production). Associate attorneys routinely interact directly with clients and are expected to take depositions, argue hearings, and try cases as a first or second chair.
Salary is dependent on experience ($125,000 - $185,000). Associate attorneys who bill at least 1,650 hours are eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus. Additionally, associate attorneys earn an automatic $3,500 bonus each quarter if they meet or exceed 500 billable hours, for a potential total of $14,000 each year (Q1-Q4). The firm offers health/vision/dental insurance, matching 401k, paid bar dues, and a flexible work/vacation schedule.
Candidates must send both a résumé and a recent, relevant writing sample to be eligible for consideration.
